Street bridge over a railroad line
In Frechen near Cologne, C + P supplied and installed a road bridge over a railroad line for Straßen.NRW in a joint venture with the company Fritz Meyer GmbH. The bridge creates a fast connection from several locations to the A4 freeway.
The special feature of this bridge project is the assembly technology: On both abutment sides, two bridge halves were first built 33 meters vertically upwards and then folded into each other over a weekend. An impressive logistical project - and of course also a testimony to the efficiency of our steel construction: A total of four arch sections, each weighing approx. 60 tons, each 2.40 meters wide and 13 meters long, were manufactured for this purpose in C + P's own production facilities.
