Every year, CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER (C + P) makes a donation after Christmas for a good cause. For many years now, the unused budget for customer gifts has deliberately flowed into selected social projects. This year, 5,700 euros will go to the Rengschburger Herzen e. V. association.
C + P Managing Director Rolf Heinecke and Bernd Neppl, Managing Director of C + P Industriebau Regensburg, visited the association in its senior citizens' café and presented the symbolic donation check to the 1st Chairman Arno Birkenfelder. The association supports local people in need in many ways.
"Loneliness due to social weakness, no or little money, loss of housing, illness, alcohol - the result of which is often homelessness or placement in institutions. All these are life situations and daily problems of our clients," describes association chairman Arno Birkenfelder.
For this year's use of the Christmas donation, there was an explicit recommendation by the C + P colleagues from Regensburg. The company is active at all its sites in turn, last year for example in Leipzig, before that at the main site in Angelburg.
"This year's donation fits in with the times. We all realize at the moment that social cohesion needs to be strengthened. Poverty and isolation have a knock-on effect. This is where the association provides important help," says Rolf Heinecke, pleased with the choice of recipients. Part of this year's donation will be used, for example, to distribute food and to expand services for and cooperation with senior citizens.
