On August 23, 2018 the Freiberg site of the CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER group of companies celebrated its 25th anniversary with a ceremony. Long-standing collaborators, representatives from the worlds of politics and business, clients and partners looked back together on developments that took place over the years and gained interesting insights into the world of steel construction during a plant tour.
In 1993 CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER took over a steel construction company called Saxonia AG in Freiberg – 50 employees changed to C + P at that time. With foresight, investments were made and jobs secured. The combination of regionally-linked quality steel construction with backup from a family of nationally operating companies has since proven to be a highly productive and efficient structure.
Today, Freiberg is one of three production facilities in the group of companies and produces 7,000 tons of the total capacity of 30,000 tons of steel per annum. This results in steel structures for diverse industrial and commercial construction projects. "Technically highly sophisticated custom-made products are frequently in demand. C + P Freiberg always shows its strengths when things become particularly complex," says Michael Steeger, CEO at the site.
