For 100 years now, the name CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER stands for expertise in industrial and commercial construction. Starting with the company's origins in steel construction, the service portfolio has been consistently developed over the years and constantly adapted to the requirements of modern construction. Today, the spectrum includes a wide range of construction services that offer tailor-made solutions for a wide variety of projects: from planning and engineering services to classic steel building construction with in-house production, parking garage construction, bridge construction and turnkey construction. The most recent addition is modular construction, which complements and expands the range with a future-oriented approach.
Modular construction as a future-oriented solution
Modular construction has become a real trend in recent years. This is mainly due to the special construction method of modular buildings. The term “construction method” could also be replaced by “production”, because in modular construction, modular room elements are first prefabricated industrially in the factory and then brought to the construction site for final assembly. This standardized production under controlled conditions not only ensures consistently high quality, but also greater cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Project costs can be planned more reliably, production processes are optimized and material waste is minimized. Thanks to the parallel processes in the factory and on the construction site, projects can also be realized efficiently and on schedule.
Standardization is therefore one of the main advantages of modular construction. At the same time, the construction method also convinces with its flexibility and adaptability: the modules can be individually adapted to the specific requirements of the project - also taking future requirements into account - which leads to tailor-made construction solutions.
Modular construction – a new business segment for CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER
“A few years ago, we successfully introduced our first modular construction solution with our self-developed Preflex® Parking Garage,” explains Managing Director Karsten Kußmann. “The demand shows: There is great interest in fast, scalable and flexible solutions. That's why modular construction is an ideal and future-proof extension to our range of services.”
CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER invites you to get to know the various modular construction concepts in person at the BAU 2025 trade fair. In Munich, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the advantages of modular construction and find out about the company's product solutions.
