Behind the scenes
Getting off to a flying start as a young professional at C + P
How do you get to working at C + P as a young professional? There are many possibilities and just as many stories. One of those can be told by Mathias Aechter.
He completed his training as a Technical systems planner in an engineering office, then added his technician… and got to know C + P along the way during a joint project. These personal interfaces left a lasting and good impression and he guessed that C + P keeps an exciting project world in store. So he decided to make an unsolicited application and was hired.
Meanwhile, he is working as a technical employee at the C + P site in Neutraubling (near Regensburg) in Bavaria and supports the project management with his constructions and plans for the different steel construction projects. A lot of time is spent on the 3D representation which is used to simulate the construction projects successively and intensively.
"I enjoy the fact that I have my new 'base' here in Neutraubling but that there are interfaces across the republic as well. C + P is small and nice and big and exciting all at the same time, that's what I like!"

His start was indeed great, Mathias Aechter reports. On the one hand because he was assigned to the right position, and on the other hand, he was quickly integrated into the team – even virtually. He does some of his work from his home office. This saves him two hours of commuting time on a regular basis. Without this opportunity, the change of job would not have been imaginable.
And anyway: “At C + P, I also work with a lot of colleagues at other locations, which is no longer a problem thanks to the technical possibilities. I enjoy the fact that I have my new 'base' here in Neutraubling but that there are interfaces across the republic as well.
